How PickWed works
From one brief to the vendors who fit.
PickWed starts from the wedding you are planning, not from a list of every business in Australia. Here is exactly what happens, including the parts most directories don't explain.
You tell us about your wedding
A short questionnaire covers your date, where you’re marrying, guest numbers, budget and which vendors you still need. A visual style quiz picks up the look you love without you needing the words for it.
You answer once. Every match and every enquiry after that uses the same brief.
We rank vendors by how well they fit
Matching follows fixed rules, the same for every couple and every business. It compares:
- your style with the vendor’s style and past work;
- where you’re marrying with where they work, including travel distance for venues;
- your date with the dates they’ve marked as booked;
- your budget with their pricing;
- what matters most to you with what they are known for.
AI helps us write summaries, but it never decides who you see or in what order. Each match comes with the reasons it made your list.
Paid spots are always labelled
Businesses on our Pro plan can appear in an extra Featured spot. It is always labelled Featured, and a business only appears there if it is still a good match for your brief. Paying never moves a vendor up your ranked list.
You choose who hears from you
Nothing is sent until you request a quote. Vendors see your first name and initial, not your full name or email, until you’ve exchanged a quote, and you talk to them through PickWed. There are no cold calls.
Some profiles are built from public business information and marked unclaimed. Those businesses can’t receive enquiries until they claim their profile and accept our terms.
When you say yes
Vendors using PickWed Studio send proposals, contracts and invoices to a private portal. You accept, sign and pay there, see what’s due and when, and get reminders before payments are due. Card payments go straight to the vendor through Stripe.

Your information
We use what you tell us to match you and run your planning tools. We never sell it and never use your guests’ details for marketing. The detail is in our Privacy Policy.
