It was not the dress I wanted initially but it was the one I needed because I felt as beautiful as I looked. The Sposa Group not only had one of the biggest wedding dress selections I have ever seen but the store itself was gorgeous and the staff were such beautiful souls. Have to give special mention to Leffy who had to catch me because I almost passed out from not eating breakfast before my fitting. “[Bridal Gown Boutique] I purchased a demi couture gown from The Sposa Group. My initial try on experience with Jas was fantastic - she was helpful, polite and patient. I returned to the store because of that experience and because of the quality of the dresses. On my second encounter I found my dress. Soon after, Jas left and the quality of the service I received changed.After my initial appointment, I emailed The Sposa Group to confirm that I needed to attend for appointments on Saturday, as I lived 4 hours away. I was told that this would be fine and that they would accommodate this. However, once I ordered by gown and paid the deposit, they were no longer willing to accommodate Saturday appointments for me. Despite me explaining my circumstances to the staff in store, I was told by who I believe was the owner that they do not take Saturday appointments and I would need to find a weekday to attend.I attended the boutique so my measurements could be taken. When my gown arrived in store, it did not fit correctly and I was told it would need to be altered, despite measurements being taken. I understood that a hem was required, but I felt as though alterations to the size of the gown was a way for the boutique to make money, as I was told my gown would be measured and made to order.When I arrived for my alterations appointment, it was clear that the alterations team and the boutique team were two separate parts of the business. The receptionists acknowledged my attendance to their store, but did not take me through to the alterations team or provide any customer service. They simply told me to go upstairs, where I took myself and introduced myself to the alterations team. I found this very unprofessional - it was as if their job ceased once the gown had arrived and they no longer cared about the customer experience.When I attempted to made an appointment to collect my gown following alterations, I was told by who I believe is the owner that they were closed on the Monday of the Melbourne cup weekend and therefore I could not have an appointment on this date. I then spoke to the alterations team who offered me an appointment on Monday of the Melbourne cup weekend, as they understood I had the day off work. When I attended the boutique on this day, the store was open despite me being told by who I believe was the owner of the store that they would not open this day.Notwithstanding, I had a great experience with the service of the alterations team and I loved my gown. However, the quality of the gown has nothing to do with The Sposa Group as it is made by a designer who they stock and is not made by them.I would not recommend The Sposa Group, which is very disappointing considering the quality and variety of the brands they stock. They have so much potential but their staff let them down.”
